One click from any job posting to a Notion tracker
Writing every application into Notion or a spreadsheet by hand, field by field, took minutes each time. So I built a browser extension that reads the whole posting in one click, on Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and more than 30 other job sites, and adds it to my Notion tracker.
How it reads a posting
- In layers
- Structured job data first, then the page's markup, the data its app ships with and its meta tags, with readers for the big hiring systems on top. The layers are merged field by field, so each field comes from the source that has it.
- In every frame
- Many careers sites show the posting inside an embedded frame. The extension reads every frame of the page, so those postings save like any other.
- Into your columns
- It reads the Notion database's columns first and writes only the ones it has, so a tracker you have reshaped keeps working.
After the click
- Rejections
- In the Gmail inbox already open, a rejection is recognised on the device and shown beside its message; one click marks the application rejected. Career-Ops reads that status back.
- Forms
- Application forms fill from one profile, résumé first so a site's own parser cannot overwrite the fields. It never submits, and demographic questions stay empty.
- Privacy
- Postings go from the page straight to Notion, never through a server of mine. Email is read on the device and never leaves it.
