UWB radar evaluation and tooling
The radar analysis tool that turned hours of scripting into seconds
Radar evaluation and tooling for Perfectly Keyless, Bosch's phone-as-key vehicle access system: measurement campaigns, hardware evaluation on real devices, and a labelling workflow, built for the kick-detection project, that became the team's standard.

- Role
- Radar Systems Engineer, UWB Validation & Tooling
- signal analysis per measurement
- 1-2 h → seconds
- label cleanup per campaign, down from hundreds
- 10-15 h
Analysis while the measurement runs
I built a real-time analyser for the radar's channel impulse response. Its main views show each tap's magnitude, phase, noise and spectrum, and compare measurements on one IQ plane. Any window can hold a reference measurement, and one click shows only the difference.
I also extended the CANoe, CAPL and Python automation behind the team's measurement campaigns.
Signal analysis per measurement went from 1-2 h to seconds.

Compare
Device variants compared
Ran radar and ranging evaluations on real hardware, and reported the results as evidence for the team's decisions.
Recordings and labels
Built the pipeline that indexes campaign recordings so they can be found again, and the labelling workflow that cut cleanup per campaign.
A demonstrator for OEM tech days
Integration work on a customer-facing demonstrator, shown at OEM tech days.
